Van Burks at museumChas. Gazette photoA week or so ago, a few students were here to be interviewed and photographed by a Charleston Gazette reporter and a photographer.
Joe Johnson, Van Burks, Alma Freeman Fleming, Lois Christian White, Bernice Nalls Clayton and Howard “Red” Scott, represented the years 1950, 1953 and 1956.

This is the first time the Gazette has recognized us and we appreciate the acknowledgement. It is also the first time a newspaper has done a video on activities here.  Happy about that!!
