Spring has sprung!

Yes, Spring has sprung and we are open from our long winter rest!

Find the violet…

In thinking of things to do this season, we have been contacting people about providing music and other activities in the Dr. Steward Frazier, Jr. Community Room.   This is a room which will comfortably accommodate a group of 25 comfortably seated, making it an intimate setting for a small group or single performance.

Starting in May, on the Second and Fourth Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. will be Family Fun Night hosted by board member, Edna Farrow.  There will be a variety of fun events giving adults and children an opportunity to spend a couple hours together in an environment that will be full of opportunities for learning and laughing.  There also may be times when a low-cost refreshment or two will be available.  Mark your calendars.

May 11 is the first night!    Come on down to 116 Main Street, Mount Hope.  Park in the back of the building on Mound St. to enter the Dr. Steward Frazier, Jr. Community Room.

Once a month, we will host Open Mic and Coffee House on the second Friday of the month.    Friday, May 12, 7:00 pm-9:00 pm starts this exciting new opportunity to get20170414_160458_Burst01 together and enjoy various types of fresh, clean family entertainment. There is interest among younger people who cannot perform in bars and this fits our interest here at DuBois on Main also.  We know there are many talented young people around and this will give them the opportunity to hone their skills and showcase their talent.  Of course, adults are welcome also.  Come out to support youth and show what you can do.  Sign up in advance if you wish or at the event.  There also may be a low-cost refreshment or two available.  Mark your calendars…second Friday of the month.

NOTE:  Youth 14 and under must be accompanied by adults 18 or over.  Of course, no outside food or drink AND no weapons of any kind, concealed or not.  This is to continue being a safe, fun place.  More details will follow.    Call 681-422-3053 for updates.  Thank you….
